3 snowboards, 2 wakeboards, 2 longboards, 1 wakeskate and now 1 freeboard. I just got it in the mail today and I'm so stoked. For those that don't know yet check em out at www.freeboard.com.
I got the G3 Freebord with S2 Bindings, Freebord Slasher Premium Wheel Kit and Bones Reds Precision Bearings. I used the holes furthurest appart to mount the bindings. The front is rotated all the way to the left and the rear all the way to the right. The toe hooks are on hole 5.
Now I have snowboarded for 15 years and skated as a kid and longboarded in the recent years. I would describe it as a mix of longboarding and snowboarding but it is not easy. The guys in their videos are awesome so don't assume you will be doing anything like that for a long time. If you do you better have protection and some good insurance.
I did two sessions today, the first was a feeling out and then I made adjustments to the board. The second session was much better after the changes and I actually started to connect turns and do some flat spins. Be careful though because if you don't commit to your edge and keep your weight on your back foot you might find yourself on the ground. Lucky for me day once was concrete free but I think some protective gear is a must to get good.
Go out and get one. This is going to be the next hot shit.
