London again

Well I should have blogged about the big air finals world cup earlier. Since the competition was on the 25th, but my head along  with my pride wasn't doing so well.

So I was in heat two with about 35 riders. The heats were heavily stacked with World Reknown shreds like Danny Kass, Scotty Lago, Stefan Gimpl, Marcu Koski, Risto Matilla and many other rippers. Anyway the only American to make finals was Lago who killed the qualis with a backside 9. Kass through a switch backrodeo with a shifty, but the judges didn't seem too impressed with the style. It was spin to win for sure.

I spun front 10 and thought I was landing cleanly. I did. I rode out of the maneuver for about 10 feet and hooked my heel edge, then lawn chaired to my skull. That type of stuff happens. I shook it off, but was highly suggested to see some EMTs. While I was being attended to, my back pack was stolen. Stoked

Couldn't let it put a damper on the night. There was music by Trouble Andrew and Cypres Hill. Also had to make some party with some Euros.

Top 3...

Peetu Piiroinen Finland

Stefan Gimpl Austria

Benedikt Nadig Switzerland

Best Trick, voted by crowd cheer.

Scotty Lago, good ol' U S of A, giant double back flip to fakie.
